Player Rules

• Rust is an extremely dynamic environment, and every possible situation cannot be spelled out in black and white. If you find yourself in a situation that is not listed, please reach out to the RainShark Admin Team via Discord.
• Many of these offenses will receive a warning first, however, some warrant outright bans.

Hacking

• If reporting a player you suspect of this, please try to supply as much evidence as possible.

Ban Evasion & VAC/Game Bans

• Players caught circumventing a Rust ban (game or otherwise) will have their new account(s) banned unless the original ban is reversed.
• If you have any accounts with a VAC/Game ban in any game other than Rust, that is less than 180 days old you will be banned from our servers.

Hacker/Banned Player Association

• If a player is game banned or banned from RainShark servers for any reason, they are not allowed to evade that ban and play again on a new account. When we catch players doing this they will be banned again for Ban Evasion. Associating with these players on a new account can, and often will, result in a ban for individuals or an entire team depending on the circumstances.
• We do not expect people to know the complete history of every individual they play with at any point. That said, when clear and indisputable proof of players helping others evade is available to moderators, the involved player(s) will face a ban from all future RainShark servers as well.

Toxic Behavior

• Aggressive behavior is a part of normal gameplay in Rust. Toxic behavior is when someone’s actions start impacting the entire server. A prime example of this would be spamming chat.

Offensive Material

• Offensive material is a very subjective area. Signs depicting bigotry or offensive slurs may be removed by Moderators without warning, and potentially further action(s) may ensue.

Glitching

• Rust is still very much in development and as such we do not police most glitches that find their way into the game. At this time we restrict playing outside of the intended play zone (such as under the terrain or inside of rocks). Certain exceptions to this rule may be made at moderators discretion.

Real Life Threats

• To know the severity of the threat, it is important to understand the context behind the statement. For example, if someone says they’re going to “f*** someone’s mom” in all chat, it’s obvious that’s not a real threat. If the player is talking about tracking them down in real life or swatting them, please report them.

Doxing

• Doxing is the act of releasing the personal information of another player. This can include any real life information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. Players found to be doing this will be evaluated as to the severity, but ultimately, offenses of this nature are grounds for an immediate ban.

Server / Admin Hating

• Publicly disparaging Rainshark or its moderators is not tolerated and may result in action taken against individuals who do so. If you have a complaint about the server itself, please submit a support ticket at Discord

Admin and Moderators Code of Conduct

• SERVER HAS NO "PLAYER" ADMIN. Meaning Admin have no houses nor play in the actual world in this game and are only there to create events, watch for hackers and ensure rules are followed.

Guidelines and Rules

• Admin and Mods will always listen to and investigate the full story involving any dispute
• Admin do not play any playable characters while in game and have accounts dedicated with admin powers.
• Mods can, should and have been killed with no repercussions and all the glory
• Admin and Mods can and will readily kick proven hackers and those that break our rules
• Admin are the only ones that can and will ban players that break our rules
• Admin will never abuse their title or powers
• Admin will never spawn items for themselves or others players without due cause
• Admin will never look inside your crates
• Admin will never walk around your base
• Admin will never give others godmode, only themselves to check on hackers.
• Admin will never teleport any to or from your base without consent or in battle
• Admin will never delete, view or remove your items without consent

Admin Powers

• The admins have full powers over the game necessary to run the server and ensure all rules of the game are followed and are able to address any issues that arise. They however do not play any characters nor do they own any bases beyond those required for events. (eg: Arena, Towns, etc)

Moderator Powers

• A Moderators main purpose is to just play the game like any other player and assist players with the most basic of request and to report and breaking of rules back to the admins. They really help to just have more eyes on the ground to ensure a more awesome playing experience for everyone.

• Can kick players
• Can teleport new spawns
• CANNOT spawn items
• CANNOT get godmode
• CANNOT remove your base or items
